The Team

THERESA COOK (principal member)

Theresa has a BTech degree (HR management), and is currently busy with her BA with majors in Psychology and Anthropology
She has 9 years training and consultancy experience in the hospitality industry She has worked for The Training Team, with emphasis in Industrial Relations work, as well as for The Solutions Team, which specialised in training in the hospitality industry Theresa has been involved with THETA (Tourism, Hospitality and Sport, Training Authority) for many years and has helped develop Workplace Skills Plans for clients, as well as being actively involved with National Qualifications and the assessment process.
Theresa has her International Toastmasters Certificate, and has twice been President of her Toastmaster club.

CAROLYN NEVILLE (principal member)

Carolyn has a BA from UNISA, and a Diploma in Secretarial Practice from Rhodes University She has twenty years experience in training, and is steeped in the hospitality industry and its ways.
She worked for the Industrial Society, UK (a management training organisation), ran the Price Waterhouse Training Centre, London, and ran her own training company in Harare, Zimbabwe.
She has been involved with a variety of clients, in both training and course design Carolyn has ties with THETA and has her NQ Assessor Licence as well as her advanced trainers qualification from THETA

Nicolette Lockyer

Nicolette is a specialist Human Resources consultant
She studied at the Swiss Hotel School Le Roche, and then went into the hospitality industry holding such positions as Receptionist, Assistant Banqueting Manager and Food and Beverage Manager
She then branched out and took various HR positions such as Hospitality Recruitment Consultant Kelly Personnel, Marketing and Course Co-ordinator for Damelin; and HR Manager for The Cape Grace.

Cindy-Lynn Dunn

Skills trainer with specialities in Housekeeping and Public Area Cleaning
She has worked for, trained and consulted to many Hotels and Cleaning Companies. Cindy is a Skills Development Facilitator, and has developed much of her own material.

Rosabelle Brown-Waterson

Along with her father, the late S Arthur Luyt she has developed courses around Food Hygiene and is a specialist in HACCP training.
Her qualifications include Basic Food Microbiology Practice, and she has access to Registered Food Analyst, Microbiologist and Food Technologists, and is a Licensed Assessor and Facilitator. She also has associations with various specialists in: Chemicals, Waste Management, Pest Control and Quality Assurance
Apart from her HACCP skills, she also has 18 years experience in management and marketing in the retail industry.

Philip Cook

Philip has a City and Guilds Diploma in Professional Cookery as well as an NQ Assessors Licence.
He has over twenty years experience in the restaurant and catering business - working locally and internationally. He also lectures City and Guilds Professional Cookery at Institute of Hospitality Education. and for the International Hotel School.
